I selected main series with mini series every 4 weeks only because I sort of get bored lapping the same track for best part of a month. I do however realise that the lack of tracks hampers a full series. Perhaps we could re visit a number of tracks after the mid way point of a season. Just a thought.ps. It also makes it a more level series for those of us who cant attend every race and havnt previously done 400 laps of the circuit. Not that the league should specifically cater for part timers either

What about we look at something similar to v8sc where we run one mod (something with some grip preferably) with sprint and endurance rounds every 4 weeks.
I would love to run some longer tracks like spa and La mans and maybe even the odd aussie track in the sprint format.
With the endurance rounds if we could run damage at say 80% but have a min pit stop count of say 4 at least for those of us that have a lapse in concentration we can continue the race.
with the sprint rounds maybe we can incorporate a reverse top 5 on the tracks where the track is wide enough to pass cleanly.
just a couple of ideas

I don't care really, as long as its something to keep people on board, I like Jonzi's idea of cars with grip, I think some folks find the "proper " stuff to hard and dip out after a couple of rounds. The URD DTM mod seems to fit the bill for a lot of leagues and there are ways around the fact that you have to purchase the mod, or even the BES Gt3 mod has a bit more grip than the Apex mod. But there's always the GTR, one ISI mod we haven't yet raced with.

I think a single make series is the way to go. If you go for mods like APEX you get too much variation in car speeds and to be competitive you have to all pick the same car anyway. I couldn't believe how much quicker the SLS was at the last round. I jumped in it with default setup and on my first flying lap went 1.2sec faster than my PB in the Porsche. I was very tempted to not even show up after seeing that.
Having said that, the Porsche itself is quite nice (considering the other cars available). You could run a PCC series with enduro events.

I like the idea of fixed setups and single car selection (Should provide some close racing) with different tracks each race.
