I decided to install MOTEC, downloaded, rF2_MotecPlugin_28Jun2014 , and mi2_pro_1.1.0.0906.exe, read all instructions and read me docs. Ran rF2 and expected a MOTEC file to be created that the MOTEC app could open, nothing.
Apparently there is supposed to be a NetCommUtilPlugin.dll, in the plugin folder I expect, there isnt one there or anywhere else.
I found this on the Rfactor Central forum:
"It is not clear where to install the rF2 Motec Plugin archives, the explanation informs a "NetCommUtilPlugin.dll" that should exist in the right place, but I have not found it.
Pls help, so I don't make mistakes"
Obviously I'm not the only one with this problem.
I've googled and searched all over the place, cant find an answer.
Any ideas anyone?

If you are not getting any MoTeC file created at all then that is a separate issue but that version of the MoTeC plugin is not compatible with v1.1.x versions of MoTeC. Lazza has a new plugin that does work with v1.1.x versions of MoTeC here which I haven't used yet. Or you can download an older version of MoTeC from here: motec.com.au/software/oldreleases/I assume any of these should work: i2 Pro V1.0.21.0030, i2 Pro V1.0.21.0066, i2 Pro V1.0.21.0069, i2 Pro V1.03.0106 I'm using i2 Pro V1.0.21.0030I don't have a NetCommUtilPlugin.dll so I can't help you with that. Do you have a MotecPlugin.ini in your rFactor 2 core folder? Did you install the right 32/64 bit plugin? MotecPlugin_x64.dll goes in rFactor2/Bin64/Plugins/ while MotecPlugin.dll goes in rFactor2/Bin32/Plugins/

Thanks Josh, Lazzas plugin wont let me install with the i2 Pro, so I'll have to get a non pro version I suppose. The MoTeC you have shouldn't make a difference with the plugin installation. If this is the new plugin you're having trouble with on the prompt that says do you agree to ask MoTeC for support you have to click no.

have to get you to walk me through installation guys. tried Lazza's new plugin with Motec V1.1 but no joy. should probably use a previous version and the older plugin I guess. Using this guide Advanced Setup Guide and Track map features has helped me make some nice sets fixing quite a few issues I had , add motec( and the knowledge of how it works) would be a huge advantage

At the moment the DAMplugin handler will not install ? Any error message? Did you see this: If this is the new plugin you're having trouble with on the prompt that says do you agree to ask MoTeC for support you have to click no.
