Oh Bathurst, the only track I've ever driven that I literally suck at and can't improve for the life of me, either I'm pathetically slow or I'm in the wall. Gonna sit this one out so I don't have to be the reason half the field got wiped out, lol.

Happy to do a lap in the Porsche and post a replay file if it would help 🙂

I know the track well Shawn and I’ve made huge progress with the Porsche so it’s all good, if I manage to get more consistent without being slow I might join in but I don’t want to put myself in front of a bunch of cars and cause a pile up. Thanks for the offer though.

Ok well I didn't realise the Porsche had so much damper adjustment on the rebound side, I assumed it maxed out at the same as bound but I was wrong, cranked it right up way past what I assumed it maxed out at and the car is totally different... went from 2:05.9 before and nearly crashing on every bump to a 2:02.7 just then... I couldn't believe it lol. Gonna keep practicing and if i can just keep it off the walls every lap and not just one lap I'll be in.

Oh man how did I not find that adjustment earlier... the car was a twitchy little thing that just wanted to crash, no wonder I’ve been having a bit of trouble... now it’s totally different, I can throw it into the corners and it’s like it’s on rails, I can nuke the tyres when I want to (couldn’t before!) and the setup finally makes sense... what a difference!

Hahaha the Porsche is freaking awesome around Bathurst, so much fun. It's what we drove in the src Bathurst 12 hour earlier this year, absolutely loved it! I better start practicing in the Ferrari, haven't turned a single lap yet!

I have enjoyed getting back into racing and hope to be able to stick around for a while, but unfortunately, I will have to miss tonight's race. Should be back next week.

Pretty wild race, I did a 360 over skyline right near the start and thought I was done (nearly cleaned up Shawn too) but somehow came out of it without any handling issues at all, pitted early to get the tyres off cause it was getting too loose, with fresh tyres I was back on the pace and did a good second stint without errors but again battled with a very slight lack of rear grip near the end. The third stint was tough, the track was getting grippier so I pushed the car trying to abuse the fronts to get understeer instead of oversteer but a couple of mistakes saw me in the wall and having to make 2 unscheduled stops to repair bent steering. Ended up finishing less than 20 seconds in front of 3rd and 4th, I knew I couldn’t afford another stop so had to just take it easy to the finish. Well done to Josh who somehow didn’t ding up his car, ended up putting me a lap down when I had to repair damage.
