Ever since I went to triple screens I seem to be well off the pace and have difficulty even keeping it on the track, both in AC and rF2. Was just playing around with it and discovered I can turn off Triple Screen in AC and Multiview in rF2 and yet I still get all 3 screens being used. Not only that but the cars seem much easier to drive. I am guessing this has something to do with the fov. I assume they still use all 3 screens because I have the screen resolution to 5760x1080, but why then do these sims have this option of Triple Screen and Multiview and what is the difference?

Hi Gwyar, not sure about AC as I dont have it but RF2 has Multiview and just triple screen width. I had 3 screens but never used Multiview for 2 reasons, 1 because I didnt know how to set it up properly and 2 because it dropped my frame rate. Oh and 3 lol, I think it supposed to make the view more realistic , it seems to stretch the view of inside the car giving it a more realistic view , as if you are in a real car, not the same as VR but sort of. I just used the 5760 resolution because it was easier. I do think it has a lot to do with the FOV though. A lot of guys seem to use ( in my book anyway )high FOV as it gives a corner a more straightened view so they go faster through it. Dont know if this is true. A lower FOV does seem to make things slower as there is more width in the view so apexes are harder to see therefore making driving seem slower. Id try playing around with the FOV if you use incar view, also set the car seat distance and height to compensate as well. PS, I only use bonnet view as I have my wheel in front of me, if I use incar it is never with the wheel showing. Hope this helps.

I run triples and my best advice is to not use multiview and just run a low field of view. Field of view should be low enough that if you’re in a right hand drive car the right monitor should show the door and the left monitor should show the passenger side of the dash. I’d give you a number but I changed it for VR, just lower it to a point where you can still get in the right position with the seat but the middle monitor only has a bit of door and a bit of passenger side dash (depending on monitor size) if that makes sense. If you set the FOV too low you won’t be able to move the seat back far enough to see, if you get that then increase it a little. I think from memory I was running around 30 but that could be wildly wrong.

Oh and another thing, you can set up bezel correction in your graphics card settings, that will give you another resolution like 5900x1080 or something. Using that resolution the picture will be “hidden” behind the bezels instead of having an actual gap in the picture which messes up lines. Just in case you didn’t know.
