I'll be in for Wednesdays, just cant make it Thursday nights, also. I don't care what mod we use, as long as its not a problem causing mod, so I think a skinned ISI mod is the safest way to go but if not I don't care as I said, if its a Wednesday night , all good for me.

Wednesday is good.
And yeh, I'm with Fat, just to make it easier on the league to manage. Without having a full-time admin team (as in confirmed admin presence every night) using unofficial mods just throws a potential spanner in the works.
I'd love to see a top tier open wheeler series here again. Whether it be Renault 3.5 or ISI Formula Masters, the level playing field is good and the mods are proven.

why not the historic F1s, plenty of speed, great sounds and good for us oldies lol I mean a consistent "feature" series. Every other league has it's fun rotating series running along side a feature event. For the sake of filling Wednesday nights until an ongoing series could be decided on I'm in full support of the ASR '92 mod. But I do think this league needs to have a feature event. SRA is a very casual league, and it's bound to be half the reason numbers are low. Most sim-racers I know compete in "stable" leagues who have a feature series sticking with the same mod (tweaking between seasons) and similar calendar. I don't know if SRA will ever want to be one of those leagues. Just a suggestion to boost numbers. Would be nice to see a field of 20+ again like the old days.

I don't think there is enough drivers in this time zone, Europe and USA leagues look like they get good numbers. Not sure I understand what part makes SRA a casual league.

We have had 20 plus at times at tigermoth in the mazdas. I think cambo is right re. Time zone numbers at present but also believe patience is key. Being visible on servers is a major draw card.. The 92LE version has proven stable and popular. I've run in one league in a few races 1hr with stops and all was fine. 20 plus cars. But also spend a lot of time in historic which draw big fields as well.

I would love to be involved but am working Thursday nights at the moment. If this thing kicked off though I would be willing to make myself unavailable to work on Thursday nights.
If it happens Wednesdays then I'm in.

Good doco on the 91 season on foxtel after Eastern creek v8 coverage. Sounds are spot on with ASR mod and the cars where clearly a real handful to drive with savage power.

Slightly different cars and the Williams hadn't introduced their active suspension in 91( apart from 1 race in Adelaide) and a few cars changed liveries for 92, but a Great season with senna 4 in a row to start .. Big fields back then as well.

Cars through the eighties, nineties and early two thousands were just awesome. I don't know what's happened to the modern cars, but they just aren't exciting to watch on the track any more.
I suppose if it has something to do with modern circuits being smoother and less undulating, but when I watch the old cars it's just more exciting, whether it be on board or track side they just look like they are alive on the track. Maybe the modern cars are sprung softer.
