Just want to let you all know I'm not as unsociable as I might seem while racing. My hearing and eyesight aren't what they used to be so I have to concentrate on the driving part. Most of the time I can't even hear what anyone is saying.
Anyway, just want to tell the GT drivers I appreciate you making it easy to race with you, even if you don't hear from me at the time.

So i can't barely hear the chatting either.

Same same. I only have the voice audible in case there is really something I need to know on track. Otherwise I tend to try and ignore any chatter and even better, have a mute sound button binding so you can just focus on the driving. I find just something simple like push to talk thanking someone for observing blue flags or whatever is enough to distract me into a making a mistake.

Makes you appreciate race drivers and F1 drivers in particular thinking about race strategies and twiddling dials and such, and having race engineers talking at you while racing.
