Finally a race that I can talk about, its been a long time for me to have a: a full race finish and b: finish in what I'd call a podium lol. Seeing as the first 4 where 2 lps in front, 5th is a podium as far as I'm concerned. Had some great racing with Jonzi, Whitmore, Mike and at the end Imperious. Everyone had their moments but I seemed to have less damage than the others so I held my speed, that is until about 10 laps from home, I was roughly 48 seconds in front of Imperious in 5th and my son came home and stuck a doughnut on my desk, lol, I looked over to se what he was doing and crashed into the fence losing my front wing. I pitted and watched as Imperious got closer, I left the pits about .5 of second behind him, but to his bad luck and my good luck, he ran wide at the left hander at the end of the long straight after the pits and I was able to go past and hold my place to the finish.
good fun guys, a good field too. Thanks Josh for a great series.

First race for me and luckily without any major problems. At mid race I was actually considering finishing without a stop, so I stayed on the track while others pitted, got to the front, but soon I realized it was a bad idea, got worse time and almost lost it. So I pitted. It was nice to race with you guys and looking forward to next round.
Btw, this happened at one point in 2nd stint, and at that very moment someone on TS swore (I am guessing Mike) and that's why I asked then. So, Mike, I hope there wasn't any contact there, but looks like a sudden huge lag.

Yes this is also happening to me and many other instances of frame stop. Have tried set frame rate to max 60 to match monitor refresh but still the same. For me either 998 build issue or win 10 issue as i have not had the issue before.
Was ok race for me just too slow but got to finish so that is ok. Congratulation to podium guys up front doing a great job.

I get little skips occasionally, and I'm sure it build related but like you also have win10 so not completely sure first race I've missed In a While , was watching live racers from hotel and looks like it was a great race.

Great fun last night. I spent a fair bit of time working on a setup yesterday and was very happy with it by the time we were ready to race.
Qual went well, was happy to be in the 1.14 bracket. Josh and menace both made mistakes early on and I had a 7 second lead by the time I stopped just before mid race distance. Unfortunately I got caught out exiting the pits and hit the bloody safety car. It bent my steering and removed my front wing. It was my only mistake in an otherwise blemish free race. Unfortunately it cost me about 90 seconds all up. Ended up fourth, 40 seconds down on 3rd.
Really enjoyed the race, these cars are brilliant to drive. Still can't help but feel I threw away my best shot at a victory since returning to sim racing.
Well done to the top three, can't wait for next week.

Good to be back here after an absence of about a year I reckon. Only updated the game before the race and came in with no practise and an unfamiliar Rfactor2 menu system. Lap time wise I did better than expected, and had I not kept losing the rear of the car every now and again, I may have done a bit better. Can't say I noticed any lag related issues from my side, but Rfactor 2 has definitely improved over the last few updates, it was almost unplayable in multiplayer about 2 years ago. Looking forward to next week.

gornes, no worries, wasn't swearing at you, I had issues several times, lockups and severe stutters, clipping, whatever it's called. no contact as far as I know, hope. It always seemed to happen when I was in close traffic, also a couple of times with Fat in close proximity. Despite that, had the best fun, I realized I can actually put together a reasonably fast lap (with these cars anyway) with a bit of practice and a good setup, thanks mennace. Will be a good series I'm sure. well put together Josh.
