Hey guys,
Every year daylight savings hits and I am forced into a six month hiatus. As it stands I finish work at 5.30pm (8.30pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time) and then have to make my way home. If the league clock goes back with daylight savings this year (as it has every other). I will miss qualifying and will be lucky to make the race in most cases. I really don't want this to happen and am hoping we can drop half an hour or something rather than the full hour we currently loose (This would make qual 9pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time). I respect that this is getting quite late and I know we have Cambo in NZ and other members that this will affect adversely, so I want to have the conversation now while we have a good month up our sleeves.
Cheers Chris

Maybe a 2 flying lap qual should apply to all series during daylight saving to ease the pain for everyone if race nights start at 2100 hrs est. I say 2 laps instead of 1 to allow tyres to be brought up to a reasonable temp.

Awesome, well let's leave this here for a couple of weeks. If nobody protests we could implement it for the next series? Thanks for being so accommodating those that have responded.

All good with me too. While this is on the cards, I received a pm from Brendon Gant, the guy from the US that ran the Le Mans race a month or so ago, this is his message
" Share with some of your higher ups the thought of a Sunday Morning (10am-11am Aus time) Sports Car series.
I thinking about hosting a saturday night series with URD gt/protos. Ive never done anything on saturday, so i have no clue if the guys will follow such an idea.
a 9pm Start here in USA, would be 11am Sunday Morning green flag in Australia. later.
bg "
Now I'm not sure if these match up times are exact and whether they match in any way to WA or NZ. What does everyone think, would you be interested in doing any, I going to tell him that remember that it is our Spring/Summer coming up and mid Sunday mornings has people doing lots of things but maybe we could look at a once a month race.
What's everybody's thoughts?
